#1 Way to Get TV While RV Camping

Why do you need TV while RV Camping?

TV while RV Camping? WHY? YOU’RE CAMPING! First of all, we don’t watch much TV while RV Camping, however, when it’s too cold to go out or too rainy, things change. Furthermore, there are so many games you can play!!

Gaining Access to Satellite

For many years we have been trying different ways to gain access to satellite tv while camping.

We finally started using our subscription to Dishnetwork, added on an additional satellite and receiver and could record one show (while watching that same show) on a separate drive. That worked alright for us but we really wanted access to our home DVR and watch “our shows” when we wanted.

Gaining Access to Other Service Providers

We also wanted access to Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video. When it’s nasty outside and you’re stuck in the RV you really want to have some good TV! We have a Smart TV in our RV but what’s the point? If you don’t have Wifi available, you can’t access it anyway!

I watched all of the posts on Facebook that I could find from different pages for RV Camping and Glamping but everyone kept saying nothing worked correctly for them to stream from their iPhone or iPad to the main RV TV without using their Hotspot. I am OK with using data from my Sprint iPhone because it’s unlimited but DON’T use my Hotspot for TV!!!

“YES IT WORKS”!!!!

Hello Dad!

Next, I get a phone call from my Dad. He says he thinks he found something that will work. I kept telling him that all these people on Facebook sites said there was no way to do it. It would take up all of our Hotspot. Well guess what guys, Father knows best! He found it! It does work!!!

It works with Netflix and Dishnetwork (we can access all of our DVR from home now)!! So we decided to try it out with Hulu and Amazon Prime Video and YES it works!!!!

What about Access to Network Apps?

In addition, all the network apps work (except NBC) and we can access that On Demand through Dishnetwork. According to my sister, the TV Queen Expert (haha!); Shutter is another App that doesn’t work. She also mentioned that Tidal does work well with it though.

We couldn’t be happier to have access to all of them.

WE DO PAY FOR THEIR SERVICES, RIGHT??

Drumroll Please!

Most importantly, if you would like the Amazon Link to the product that does all of this, CLICK HERE! (By the way, it has a slot for charging your iPhone or iPad at the same time)!

If you plan to be lazy like us on those rainy days, you might as well go all out and get the 25 foot HDMI cable that will make it easier to go from your RV TV to your iPhone or IPad to your hand in the recliner! 😉 Our iphone chargers weren’t working the greatest so we went ahead and purchased those new too and we really like the cords on these cell phone chargers!! They’re NYLON!!!

Well that should pretty much do it for y’all for TV while RV Camping on those cold or rainy days! Enjoy! I know we do! 😉
