The Energetic SOWLE RV Chihuahua 6-Pack Plus 1 Equals The Lucky 7
To understand our crazy world of dogs, you must first understand the Chihuahua past for our family to even be able to grasp the idea of how we became The Energetic SOWLE RV Chihuahua 6-Pack Plus 1 Equals The Lucky 7!
Chihuahuas Past for Our Family
Where it All Began
Tulip
It all started with “Tulip”. I (Angie) brought Tulip home when I was in high school. I snuck this tiny little Chihuahua into my parents’ house and hid her for a few days, worried my parents wouldn’t approve of another pet. Well that all turned out just fine. Tulip and my dad became the best of friends! So much so, that when Mark and I got married, Tulip stayed at my parents’ house as their pet!
Married with 2 Chihuahuas and a Kiddo
Baby Baluga ‘lil Bit, Molly Moo Magee, and Aiden Alan Glen
Fast forward a few years and Mark and I got “Baby Beluga ‘lil Bit” (our first Chihuahua as a married couple) and “Molly Moo Magee” just a few days later when she was old enough to join our family. Not too much longer, our son, Aiden, came along. He absolutely LOVED these 2 Chihuahua puppies and they loved him!
So, he HAD to have HIS OWN Chihuahua Puppy of course!
A Chihuahua for Aiden
Lucy Lou Lamby
That’s when “Lucy Lou Lamby” came along! Then Lucy Lou had to have her own friend to even things out, right?
Maggy Marie Mittens
That’s when “Maggy Marie Mittens” came into our lives!
Do you see the pattern here???
It remained rather calm in our family as the girls aged. We were so happy to have them all.
But then sadly we lost our precious Maggy on 10/29/16 and Lucy on 6/22/17. The 2 youngest of the 4-pack.
The house was just too quiet for us without them and our hearts were broken. In time, we were blessed to add to our home again.
Faith Lily Mae and Hope Gracie Mittens
That’s when we brought Faith Lily Mae and Hope Gracie Mittens home.
Pepper Mint Jasper
Another few months went by and Mark brought Pepper Mint Jasper home on the day before Christmas Eve 2017 because of a simple innocent post I posted on Facebook!
Our sweet Molly passed away on 1/24/19. She lived a long life full of adventures.
Love Lacy Lilo
Well I’m not sure about you all, but I don’t know how you can possibly have pups named Faith and Hope and not have one named Love??
We decided to add “just one more” and welcomed Love Lacy Lilo
….HOWEVER… she had a twin sister that was totally different looking than her…
Ginger Spice Stitch
So, as you may have already guessed, we welcomed her too (come on, you can’t leave one behind)! She fit in perfectly with our Christmas Themed Pup Pepper Mint Jasper, so Chihuahua #6 is Ginger Spice Stich!
My Sister Gets a Chihuahua
My sister saw how much we loved our Chihuahuas, so she decided to adopt a Chihuahua puppy too! Well, this puppy ended up being a little bit too much for her to handle.
Bella Kanga Roo
Well, we certainly couldn’t let this new puppy go back to the shelter, so of course we welcomed and renamed her Bella Kanga Roo to our pack to complete our 6-pack!
The SOWLE RV Chihuahua 6-Pack is Complete
That’s it! That is how we ended up with the SOWLE RV Chihuahua 6-Pack! That’s when we said absolutely “NO MORE DOGS”!
BUT WAIT! You may be wondering what the “Plus 1 equals The Lucky Seven” means from “The SOWLE RV Chihuahua 6-Pack Plus 1 Equals The Lucky Seven?” Well, you have probably already figured that out by now if you have followed this entire crazy dog story!
If you guessed we got yet another Chihuahua, you guessed incorrectly! Can you believe it? The next dog member is NOT a Chihuahua! It’s NOT even a little pup, he’s a BIG PUP!!
Here is the story of our sweet new addition of Shadow Sullivan the 7th, the PLUS ONE Pup that completes The SOWLE RV Chihuahua 6-Pack +1 = The Lucky 7!
Shadow Sullivan The 7th
December 1, 2024. We had finally gotten all of decorations up at our new Round Cabin and were looking forward to our first Christmas in the Cabin. The temperature outside had dropped massively, and we all stayed inside quite a bit more.
One evening, while taking the trash outside, I saw a rather large dog running around. We get a lot of strays in this area but usually find out they belong to someone at the lake.
I have always been very scared of large dogs, mostly because myself (while I was pregnant with Aiden) and our little Molly, discussed earlier, were attacked by a larger dog. We both made it out of the incident fine, but you never get over seeing a large dog running off with your little pup in its mouth. It was a neighbor’s dog, and he was able to get our little Molly free THANK GOD, but since then I’ve just been very nervous with good reason.
I looked out the sliding glass door a bit later after dark to see this…
I felt bad for the poor guy because it was supposed to be very cold overnight, but I assumed he would get back to his owner’s home.
I assumed wrong. This is what I found when I opened the sliding glass door curtain the next morning.
He stuck around the entire day and wouldn’t leave no matter how much we tried. We couldn’t let our dogs outside in their fenced area because this guy was able to open the gate and get in and out!
Mark decided to bring this guy a little shelter for the next night since it was going to get down into the teens overnight. Remember we already had 6 tiny chihuahuas. We couldn’t possibly let this guy in our cabin and weren’t going to risk that without a vet visit for sure! So we used our “trash trailer” that oddly we also refer to as the “dog house”.
As you guessed I’m sure, the vet visit happened the next day! Ha-Ha! He got checked for a microchip and didn’t have one, no one had been looking for him that we know of after posting all over social media in our area.
We went ahead and got him fully vetted and we found out that he is a Collie-Heeler Mix; aka an Australian Cattle Collie. The vet said he has a very calm demeanor and yet not to be surprised if “herds” because that’s part of his breed. He is highly intelligent and trains very well. He’s around a year old.
We decided he would be our responsibility, and we would just have to keep him in Mark’s heated office off the garage.
You know me though…I couldn’t have a member of our family not be around us all, so slowly we introduced him to each dog and then finally introduced him to Aiden, which proved to go amazingly well.
That’s not to say there wasn’t a lot of barking and some issues with all the dogs, but it was manageable. So, by the weekend we tried to have him come inside the cabin. He did well. They all did well. He ended up staying overnight in his crate in the cabin and the rest is history as they say! We welcomed Shadow Sullivan the 7th right on into our now family of TEN! Mark, Angie, Aiden, Faith, Hope, Pepper, Ginger, Love, Bella, and Shadow! That’s how we got “The Energetic SOWLE RV Chihuahua 6-Pack Plus 1 Equals The Lucky 7”!
